Key points:
– First wave of games will be launched in Q4 2025
– Two of the first four games adapted will be Evolution’s ‘Starburst’ and ‘Divine Fortune’
– Move reverses the trend of popular land-based titles being adapted for iGaming market
Gaming Arts will be bringing some of the most popular online-based slots in Evolution’s portfolio to the land-based sector.
The pair will work with slots game partner Bluehare Studios to deliver the adaptations for the Class III gaming market.
These new releases will retain the already proven game mechanics, brand recognition and features, while adding Gaming Arts’ MOD EX high-performance cabinets into the mix.
The announcement is notable for reversing the trend of adapting popular land-based games for online verticals, something Todd Haushalter, CPO at Evolution commented on: “Evolution is thrilled to be at the forefront of this shift. This collaboration allows us to bring our world-class IP to the incredibly talented team at Gaming Arts, and watching them work their land-based magic to adapt and reimagine our games has been truly inspiring.”
In North America, the first fruits of this partnership should appear as early as Q4 2025 and will be added to Gaming Arts cabinet line-up at that time.
Four of Evolution’s most popular games will form the first vanguard of the launch, each featuring new innovative additions to the list of ingredients that made them a success online.
Two of these will be adaptations of Evolution’s ‘Divine Fortune’ and ‘Starburst,’ reimagined as ‘Divine Fortune Ascension’ and ‘Starburst Supernova’ respectively.
Good to know: Todd Haushalter spoke to Gambling Insider in Spring 2025 about the challenge of operating across land-based and online markets, saying: “The tricky part is creating a game that remains familiar and compelling to land-based players in the casino, so they don’t feel like they’re playing second fiddle to the online players, while simultaneously creating an environment where the online players don’t feel like they are second-class citizens either”
Alongside the release will be an integrated marketing campaign across both online and land-based platforms.
Rob Ziems, CEO of Gaming Arts, said: “This collaboration goes beyond simply combining Evolution’s exceptional game brands with our latest MOD EX hardware. We are working closely with Evolution to effectively adapt these classics for land-based play while also innovating and modernising them to create fresh, engaging experiences that will truly resonate with today’s casino players.”
